Enjoy Shakespeare’s Hamlet in an action packed production full of humor and theatrically. This is Advice To The Players’ twelfth March Shakespeare, and the Lakes and Mountains community depends on this interlude of classical theatre amidst the mud and snow. This lively production is presented with humor, but most importantly, in a time of crushing inhumanity, it delves into essential questions about our merely human selves, struggling with courage in a fearful world. Hamlet is directed by Mark Woollett, and features Andrew Codispoti in the title role, with Angela Smith as Ophelia, Robert Serrell as Claudius and Barbara Webb as Gertrude. Robert Bates portrays Polonius, Alex Butcher-Nesbitt plays Laertes and Butterfly Dompkowski is Horatio. The production features an original “soundscape” by two-time New Hampshire Theatre Award finalist Patrick Hornig, and intricate sword-fights choreographed by Lee Stockman and Kevin Coleman.
